Frequently Asked Questions

Why should I declutter before organising?

Decluttering should always come before organising. There is no point spending time, money, and energy creating storage systems for things you no longer use, need, or want to keep. By decluttering first, we can create simpler, more functional spaces that are easier to organise and maintain.

Does decluttering mean throwing everything away?

Not at all. Decluttering isn’t about getting rid of everything — it’s about making intentional decisions about what belongs in your home and what doesn’t. This may mean relocating items to a better space, storing them more effectively, donating unused items, or letting go of things that no longer serve a purpose.

Do I need to be home while you are there?

For the decluttering, we would like you to be home to make decisions about what you would like to keep. When it comes to the organising, feel free to do your own thing and leave us to do the organisation.

Does my initial in-home consultation take place on the same day as my organising session?
No, these are scheduled on separate days. The initial consultation allows us to fully understand your needs and assess your space. If storage solutions are required, we can source and bring them along to your organising session—so we can get started straight away and make the most of our time.

How far do you travel for the free 20-minute in-home consultation?

I offer a free 20-minute in-home consultation within the 4212 postcode area. For locations outside 4212, I offer a free 20-minute virtual consultation instead.
